Gold and Silver Prices May Enter New Wave of Increase: Sprott Inc.
According to Maria Smirnova, Managing Partner at Sprott Inc., gold and silver prices may be entering a new wave of increase. Despite a sharp drop in gold prices in the first months of 2026, Sprott believes that this is not a sign of reversing the long-term upward trend.
The report 'Gold and Silver: Looking beyond the correction' highlights that the first seven months of 2026 show normal developments in a long-term upward cycle of precious metals. The foundational factors supporting gold and silver are still maintained, including increased public debt, prolonged budget deficits, central bank demand for gold, and demand for silver in industry.
Sprott emphasizes that the correction phase does not reflect the weakening of fundamentals. Gold prices have stabilized around the 4,000-4,100 USD/ounce range, while silver has retreated to around 55-60 USD/ounce before gradually stabilizing.
