Gold and Silver Prices Plunge Across Major Cities on September 15
The price of gold and silver has fallen on September 15, 2026. The latest market rates show that 24-carat gold is priced at around ₹1.53 lakh per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is around ₹1.40 lakh per 10 grams. 18-carat gold is priced at around ₹1.14 lakh per 10 grams in most major cities.
The silver prices have also seen a decline, trading at ₹2.45 lakh per kg across most cities. The city-wise rates for both gold and silver are as follows:
Chennai: 24K Gold (10 grams) - ₹1,53,170, 22K Gold (10 grams) - ₹1,40,400, 18K Gold (10 grams) - ₹1,14,880. Silver (1 kg) - ₹2,50,000.
