Gold and Silver Prices Rebound Amid US Tariff Measures and Central Bank Buying
Gold and silver prices have recovered in the last week, sparking hopes of further price growth among investors. According to data from Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), gold rates rose from Rs 1,40,792/10g on July 17 to Rs 1,44,089/10 gm on July 23, while silver prices increased from Rs 2,15,936/kg to Rs 2,22,108/kg in the same timeframe.
Vedika Narvekar, a research analyst at Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, attributes the price rise to US President Donald Trump's proposed tariff measures and continued central bank buying. She notes that the recovery appears to be driven by bargain hunting after the recent correction rather than a decisive shift in fundamentals.
For long-term investors, Narvekar advises against panic selling after the price correction. New precious metal investors are cautioned to avoid chasing the recent rebound due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and elevated market volatility.
