Gold and Silver Prices Rise as Middle East Tensions Ease
Gold and silver prices rose on July 27 as tensions in the Middle East eased and crude oil costs decreased ahead of the US Federal Reserve's meeting.
Comex gold futures increased by $49 to an intraday high of $4,119 per troy ounce, while Comex silver futures gained around $1.50 to $60.39 per troy ounce.
The rise in precious metals came after the US paused its attacks on Iran for a third consecutive day and Iran suspended its military response, leading to hopes that tensions in the region may ease.
