Gold and Silver Prices Rise on MCX Amid Dollar Decline
Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) rose by Rs 491, or 0.34 per cent, to open at Rs 1,42,002 per 10 grams on August 3, 2026. The price gain was attributed to a decline in the US dollar and easing oil prices following President Donald Trump's announcement that peace talks with Iran would resume.
The gold futures for October 2026 also saw a rise of Rs 267 or 0.19 per cent to trade at Rs 1,43,643 per 10 grams. CEO of Enrich Money Ponmudi R noted that the immediate support for MCX Gold is at Rs 143,300-143,000, with next support at Rs 142,300-142,000.
On the other hand, silver futures on MCX opened in the green, gaining Rs 797 or 0.36 per cent to begin trading at Rs 2,17,995. The price of silver later touched an intraday high of Rs 2,19,399, a jump of Rs 2,201 or 1.01 per cent.
