Gold and Silver Prices Soar Across Indian Cities on August 31

On August 31, gold and silver prices in India were influenced by international trends, currency movements, and domestic demand. The rates varied across major cities, with a notable difference in the prices of 22K and 24K gold.

The city-wise rates for gold and silver on Monday, August 31, 2026, are as follows: In Delhi, 10 grams of 22K gold cost around Rs 1,45,200, while 1kg of silver was priced at Rs 2,54,900. In Mumbai, the same quantities were priced at Rs 1,45,040 and Rs 2,54,900 respectively.

The prices for Bengaluru saw a significant increase in August, with 10 grams of 24K gold costing around Rs 15,823 per gram, equivalent to Rs 1,58,230 for 10 grams. The city's silver rate was around Rs 2,36,316 per kg.

Silver has shown notable movement during August, rising from around Rs 2.17 lakh per kg at the beginning of the month to Rs 2.36 lakh per kg by August 31, representing a monthly increase of about 9%.
