Gold and Silver Prices Soar in Indian Bullion Markets

Gold prices surged in bullion markets across India on Wednesday, August 12. The rally saw gold rise by up to Rs 1,720 per 10 grams, with Chennai recording an even steeper jump of Rs 2,020 per 10 grams.

Silver also experienced a significant price increase, rising by as much as Rs 10,200 per kilogram in the bullion market. As a result, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,53,830 and Rs 1,54,380 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced between Rs 1,41,010 and Rs 1,41,510 per 10 grams.

The sharp price movement in gold and silver came amid heightened activity in the bullion market. The Delhi bullion market saw 24-carat gold trading at Rs 1,53,980 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,41,160 per 10 grams.
