Gold and Silver Prices Surge to Two-Month Highs Amid Bullish Sentiment
Global gold prices broke through the $4,500 per ounce barrier for the first time since June 5. The price of December 2026 gold futures contracts on the US Comex exchange rose by 1.39% to $4,502.7 per ounce.
The surge in gold prices marked a significant turnaround after more than two months of decline. Although the upward momentum narrowed slightly later in the session, with prices falling below $4,500 per ounce just minutes after surpassing it, the overall trend remained bullish.
Silver prices also saw a notable increase, rising by 2.26% to $66.4 per ounce for September 2026 futures contracts on the Comex exchange. The simultaneous gains in both gold and silver prices highlighted a positive sentiment in the precious metals market.
