Gold Breaks Trendline, But Challenges Remain Ahead
Gold prices have broken above a well-defined descending trendline on the daily chart, marking an improvement in momentum.
This change comes after several months of lower highs and failed recovery attempts. Since hitting a record high near $5,600, gold has traded below this trendline, with each rally fading before buyers regained control.
However, the recent breakout above the trendline is the first meaningful technical improvement since the correction began. Buyers have also reclaimed the $4,208-resistance level after repeatedly defending the $3,885-$4,000 demand zone, indicating growing confidence in the market.
The 126-day moving average remains a key hurdle for gold, currently sitting near $4,530. If price stays below this average, sellers still hold the advantage on higher timeframes.
