Gold Demand Remains Flat as Prices Slide
The World Gold Council reported that gold demand was flat in the second quarter of this year, coming in at 1,268.9 metric tons.
This is due to a decline in prices from record highs seen in the first quarter, according to the council's new Gold Demand Trends report.
Despite this, the World Gold Council notes that gold remains an attractive asset for investors, particularly in times of economic uncertainty.
