Gold Edges Up as Investors Await Fed Clues on Interest Rates
Gold prices have risen slightly on Tuesday as investors weigh mixed signals from potential US-Iran talks and await key US labor market reports for clues on the Federal Reserve's interest rate trajectory.
The spot gold price rose by 0.2% to $4,062.41 per ounce at 0504 GMT, while U.S. gold futures increased by 0.7% to $4,117.50.
Ajay Kedia, director at Mumbai-based Kedia Commodities, said that if there is weakness in the job market, it could pressure the US dollar and lead to gains in gold.
