Gold Futures Drop on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Amid US COMEX Losses
Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives declined in value due to losses in the US COMEX market. The spot-month September 2026 contract closed at $4,295.50 per troy ounce, down from last Friday's price of $4,353.50 per troy ounce. The October 2026 contract also fell to $4,310.80 per troy ounce from $4,368.70 per troy ounce.
Other contracts for November 2026, December 2026, February 2027, and April 2027 all experienced declines in value as well. The physical gold price at the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on September 11, 2026 was $4,368.25 per troy ounce.
The trading volume decreased to 302 lots from last Friday's 413 lots, and open interest shrank to 358 contracts from 469 contracts.
