Gold Futures Fall as COMEX Weakness Persists
Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives declined in line with weaker performance on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX) amid profit-taking after recent gains.
The spot-month July 2026 contract closed at $4,052.20 per troy ounce, down from Thursday's price of $4,065.60 per troy ounce.
August and September 2026 contracts also fell to $4,067.90 and $4,080.00 per troy ounce respectively, while October and December 2026 contracts closed lower at $4,110.50 per troy ounce compared to their previous prices of $4,126.90 per troy ounce.
Trading volume rose to 291 lots from 234 lots yesterday, with open interest increasing to 359 contracts from 304 contracts previously.
