Gold Futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Close Lower
Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower yesterday, mirroring the weaker performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX). The spot-month September 2026 contract dropped to $4,404.70 per troy ounce from Monday's price of $4,419.40. The October 2026 contract saw a similar decline, falling to $4,420.10 per troy ounce from yesterday's price of $4,435.60.
The November 2026 contract also decreased, dropping to $4,434.70 per troy ounce from its previous price of $4,452.50. The December 2026, February 2027, and April 2027 contracts all saw a decline as well, slipping to $4,442.50 per troy ounce from their previous prices.
Trading volume decreased to 296 lots from the previous day's 320 lots, while open interest trimmed to 346 contracts from 378 contracts previously.
