Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Tuesday, weighed down by higher US Treasury yields. According to Quintex Intel global strategist Stephen Innes, rising short-term US Treasury yields have kept gold's upside 'relatively capped for now.'

The spot-month August 2026 contract slipped to $4,393.70 per troy ounce from Monday's $4,402.50 per troy ounce. The September 2026 contract declined to $4,410.30 per troy ounce from $4,418.70 per troy ounce previously.

The October and November 2026 contracts both decreased to $4,426.40 per troy ounce from $4,434.50 per troy ounce yesterday, while the December 2026 and February 2027 contracts weakened to $4,434.20 per troy ounce from $4,442.30.

Trading volume increased to 182 lots from 132 lots on Monday, while open interest surged to 256 contracts from 201 contracts previously.
