Gold Futures Rise 0.15 Percent to Rs 1.53 Lakh/10 Gm on Firm Demand
Gold futures rose by Rs 231 to Rs 1.53 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on Thursday due to firm spot demand, analysts said.
The Multi Commodity Exchange saw a business turnover of 867 lots for the October delivery contract, which traded higher by Rs 231, or 0.15 percent, at Rs 1,53,994 per 10 grams.
Speculators created fresh positions on the firm spot demand, leading to a rise in gold prices, according to analysts.
Gold futures also rose 0.47 percent to USD 4,419.57 per ounce in New York.
