Gold Futures Rise ₹364 on Spot Demand in Indian Market
Gold futures rose on spot demand in India's commodity market, driven by speculators building fresh positions. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery traded higher by ₹364 to ₹1,43,740 per 10 grams.
The increase of 0.25% was attributed to robust spot market demand, which led participants to create new positions in the precious metal. Analysts noted that this surge was a result of fresh positions being built up by speculators.
Business turnover on the MCX for gold contracts reached 1,691 lots during this period.
