Gold Futures Rise, Silver Prices Hit New High on Multi Commodity Exchange

On Monday, gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 364 to Rs 1,43,740 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,691 lots. This increase was driven by speculators creating fresh positions due to firm spot demand.

Globally, gold futures also saw an increase, rising 0.33 per cent to USD 4,059.48 per ounce in New York.

Similarly, silver prices rose 0.53 per cent to Rs 2.18 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Monday due to a firm global trend.
