Gold Futures Rise to Record High on Firm Spot Demand

Gold futures rose on Monday to Rs 1.52 lakh per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange, as speculators created fresh positions due to a firm spot demand.

The yellow metal contracts for October delivery traded higher by Rs 455 or 0.3 per cent at Rs 1,52,275 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,127 lots.

Silver futures also increased, rising by Rs 2,514 or 1.09 per cent to Rs 2,33,980 per kilogram for September delivery.
