Gold Futures Rise to Rs 1.54 Lakh Per 10 Grams on Spot Demand
Gold futures rose to Rs 1.54 lakh per 10 grams on Tuesday due to a firm spot demand in India. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold contracts for October delivery gained by Rs 1,501 or 0.98% at Rs 1,54,600 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,332 lots.
The increase was attributed to fresh positions built up by participants on the exchange. Globally, gold futures increased 0.35% to USD 4,406.15 per ounce in New York, which may have contributed to the rise in Indian prices.
