Gold Futures Slide Tracking US COMEX Performance

Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on September 7, mirroring the performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

The spot-month September 2026 contract ended at $4,419.40 per troy ounce, down from $4,477.50 per troy ounce on Friday.

Other contracts also declined: October 2026 to $4,435.60 per troy ounce (down from $4,491.30), November 2026 to $4,452.50 per troy ounce (down from $4,509.70), and December 2026, February 2027, and April 2027 contracts to $4,460.30 per troy ounce (down from $4,517.50).

Despite the decline, trading volume increased to 320 lots from 302 lots on last Friday, while open interest rose to 378 contracts from 357 contracts previously.
