Gold Futures Slip on Weaker US COMEX Performance
Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives finished lower on September 8 due to weaker performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
The spot-month September 2026 contract dropped to $4,404.70 per troy ounce from Monday's closing price of $4,419.40.
The decline in prices was also seen in other contracts - October 2026 fell to $4,420.10, November 2026 declined to $4,434.70, and December 2026, February 2027, and April 2027 slipped to $4,442.50 per troy ounce.
The trading volume decreased to 296 lots from 320 lots the previous day, while open interest trimmed to 346 contracts from 378 contracts previously.
