Gold Futures Soar to Rs 1.62 Lakh Amid Strong Demand
Gold futures in India surged by Rs 115 to reach a price of Rs 1.62 lakh per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by strong spot demand and fresh speculator positions.
The yellow metal contract for October delivery traded higher by Rs 115, or 0.07 percent, at Rs 1,62,997 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 674 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices to market participants creating fresh positions on firm spot demand.
