Gold Futures Track Weaker COMEX Performance
Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today due to weaker performance of gold futures on the US Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
The spot-month August 2026 contract declined to $4,595.90 per troy ounce from Wednesday's $4,618.00, while the September 2026 contract slipped to $4,613.20 from $4,635.50.
The October and November 2026 contracts both dropped to $4,629.40 per troy ounce from $4,651.90, with the December 2026 and February 2027 contracts retreating to $4,637.20 from $4,659.70.
Trading volume jumped to 620 lots from 354 lots on Wednesday, while open interest advanced to 688 contracts from 425 contracts previously.
