Gold Hits New Heights as Dollar Weakness and Oil Price Declines Fuel Rally
Gold prices surged to new heights on Wednesday, rising by around $80 from Tuesday's close to approximately $4,160 per ounce at international exchanges.
This significant gain was driven by a weaker U.S. dollar, lower oil prices, and falling Treasury yields, which have created an environment conducive to gold investment.
In the Egyptian market, the price of 21-karat gold increased by around EGP 50 from Tuesday's close to approximately EGP 5,920 per gram, while international gold prices continued their upward trend.
The decline in the U.S. dollar against the Egyptian pound has limited the transmission of global gains into the domestic market, resulting in a relatively subdued increase in local gold prices.
