Gold Hits One-Month High as Dollar Weakness Fuels Demand
Gold futures surged on Wednesday, reaching their highest level since early July as the metal extended its gains for a third consecutive session.
The price of gold rose 2.82% to an intraday high of $4,279.5 per ounce by 10:06 US Eastern time, marking a one-month high.
This increase was fueled by a softer U.S. dollar and lower crude oil prices, which made dollar-denominated metals more attractive for holders of other currencies.
