Gold Hits Six-Month High Above $4,250 Per Ounce

Gold futures for December delivery on the COMEX exchange have surged past $4,250 per troy ounce, reaching their highest level since June 18, 2026. The contract rose as much as 1.88% to $4,264.50 per troy ounce, after earlier gaining 1.56% and breaking through the $4,250 mark.

The price of gold has been on an upward trend in recent days, with futures for December delivery climbing above $4,200 per troy ounce for the first time since July 6, 2026. By 09:31, the contract had extended its gains, rising 1.19% to $4,201.9 per troy ounce.
