Gold Holds Above Rs 1,52,400 Amid Revived Rate-Hike Bets
Gold prices held above Rs 1,52,400 as strong US jobs data revived bets on Federal Reserve rate hikes. The immediate triggers for gold's movement include a softer US dollar, expectations of US inflation, and the Fed's monetary policy path.
According to Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst at LKP Securities, gold traded within a range-bound volatility between Rs 1,52,500 and Rs 1,54,000. Comex gold remained volatile in the $4,387, $4,440 range.
Ruchit Thakur, Market Analyst at VT Markets, suggests that investors adopt a phased, staggered buying approach rather than pursuing sharp price rallies. Gold serves as a defensive foundational asset, while silver and copper present greater potential upside growth alongside heightened volatility.
