Gold Holds Steady Ahead of US Payrolls Data
Gold remained stable on Friday, poised for a minor weekly gain as investors await highly anticipated US payrolls data to inform the Federal Reserve's next interest rate decision.
The spot price of gold held steady at $4,477.10 per ounce as of 02:11 GMT, while US gold futures for December delivery fell 0.4 percent to $4,522.60.
Silver prices declined by 0.3 percent to $66.78 per ounce but are still on track to post a weekly gain. Platinum and palladium both experienced losses of 0.8 percent and 0.4 percent respectively, with the former headed for a slight weekly decline.
