Gold Market Sees Tug-of-War as Prices Recover Slightly
The gold market began September with a tug-of-war between domestic and international forces.
In Vietnam, SJC gold bars maintained their price at 148.7 million VND/ounce for selling and 145.7 million VND/ounce for buying.
This is similar to the previous day's prices, but significantly lower than the range above 150 million VND seen in late August.
Internationally, gold prices showed a slight recovery, rising to $4,451.14 per ounce on September 1st, up from $4,437 per ounce on August 31st.
