Gold Plunges 1.7% to Rs 155,900 Per 10 Grams in Delhi
Gold prices plummeted in India's national capital on Friday, with a decline of Rs 2,700 to Rs 1.55 lakh per 10 grams.
The price drop for gold came despite gains in global markets, where spot gold rose USD 49.82, or 1.15 percent, to USD 4,366.58 per ounce.
Silver also took a hit, tumbling by Rs 10,000 to Rs 2.34 lakh per kg in Delhi.
Traders cited selling pressure in the local market as the reason for the decline, despite gains overseas.
