Gold Price Continues Upward Trend, Hits New High in India
The price of gold has continued its upward trend for the fourth consecutive session, rising by Rs 2,700 to Rs 1,67,100 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday.
This increase comes after a strong rally, with gold closing at Rs 1,64,400 per 10 grams on Monday. However, silver took a breather after its three-session rally, as traders booked profits and the white metal declined by Rs 3,500 to Rs 2,50,000 per kilogram.
In international markets, bullion prices gave up some of their recent gains, with spot gold falling USD 11.87, or 0.26 percent, to USD 4,639.51 per ounce. Silver also remained under pressure, falling 1.04 percent to USD 67.88 per ounce for its second consecutive session of losses.
