Gold Price Declines Below ₹1.54 Lakh Amid Geopolitical Tensions
The price of gold has declined below ₹1.54 lakh per 10 grams in key Indian cities, amid escalating geopolitical tensions and a hawkish approach by the US Fed.
The October 5 expiry of gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell to a low of ₹1,53,640, down ₹2,640 from its last close of ₹1,56,281.
Silver futures for the September 4 expiry also declined to a low of ₹232,501 per kilogram, down ₹4,203 from its last closing price on MCX.
The prices of gold in various cities have also fallen, with 24k gold rate in Delhi at ₹1,54,210 and 22k gold rate at ₹1,41,359 per 10 grams.
