Gold Price Drops ₹269 in India, Silver Falls ₹3,742
Gold prices in India have experienced a decline on September 11, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has decreased by ₹269 to ₹1.53 lakh. This marks a drop from its previous value.
The price of one kilogram of silver has also seen a decrease of ₹3,742 to approximately ₹2.30 lakh. Gold has become more expensive this year, rising by ₹20,000 so far in 2026. On December 31, 2025, 10 grams of gold cost ₹1.33 lakh, which has now risen to ₹1.53 lakh.
Anindya Banerjee, Senior Vice President and Head of Commodity Research at Kotak Securities, believes that gold will continue to rise despite challenging conditions ahead. He predicts that the price of gold could reach ₹1.70 lakh by December and silver could surge to ₹3 lakh if conditions improve.
