Gold Price Drops Amid Ongoing Middle East Tensions
The price of gold in India has seen a slight decrease on August 25, 2026. The current rate for 24 carat gold is Rs 16,375 per gram, down from Rs 16,397 on August 24. Similarly, the prices for 22 and 18 carat gold have also decreased to Rs 15,010 and Rs 12,281 per gram respectively.
The international market has been experiencing fluctuations due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The US Treasury Secretary announced fresh sanctions against Iran, which is expected to further impact oil prices. The current crude oil benchmarks stand at $90.71 per barrel for WTI Crude and $85.26 per barrel for Brent Crude.
Investors have been seeking refuge in gold as a safeguard against global tensions. However, the ongoing turmoil has kept precious metal markets fluctuating day to day.
