Gold Price Fluctuations in Delhi Continue Throughout the Year
The gold price in Delhi has seen fluctuations throughout the year, with varying trends each month. In August 2026, 24k gold opened at ₹1,44,370 per 10 grams on August 01 and by August 16 had settled at ₹1,55,280 per 10 grams.
This trend is in contrast to March 2026, when the price fell from ₹1,68,990 on March 01 to ₹1,48,420 on March 31. However, February 2026 saw a rising trend with prices going from ₹1,60,730 on February 01 to ₹1,61,710 on February 28.
Gold purity is measured in karats, with different types suitable for various uses. 24K (99.9%) is the purest form but too soft for jewellery, while 22K (91.6%) is standard for traditional Indian jewellery due to its durability.
