Gold Price Hikes Amid US-Iran Tensions, Fed Policy Uncertainty
Gold prices rose Rs 100 to reach Rs 1,47,500 per 10 grams in Delhi on Tuesday. This comes as investors maintained a cautious stance amid ongoing US-Iran diplomatic developments and uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve's policy outlook.
Silver prices remained flat at Rs 2,26,500 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes), according to the All India Sarafa Association. Traders said gold witnessed modest buying in the domestic market, while silver traded in a narrow range.
Gold edged up on Tuesday as investors awaited greater clarity on geopolitical risks and the future direction of US interest rates. Bullion has remained range-bound over the last two sessions, said Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities.
