Gold Price Hinges on CPI Data as Key Levels Come into Focus

The price of Gold (XAU) is currently facing a crucial test as investors await the release of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data. A sustained move above $4,416.82 would indicate the presence of buyers and could trigger a surge into $4,481.78 and the 200-day moving average at $4,499.29.

This price level represents 20% down from the all-time high, making it a significant target for traders. Crossing the 50-day MA at $4,148.11 to nearly testing the 200-day MA in five days is impressive and shows strong buying momentum.

However, if Gold fails to hold the rebound and breaks Tuesday's low at $4,356.70, it would leave a wide gap with no support until well below $4,200.
