Gold Price in India Declines Slightly Amid Market Volatility

The gold price in India has seen a slight decline on August 15, with 24K gold fixed at ₹15,288 per gram and 22K gold priced at ₹14,014. However, this drop hides a bigger shift over the past 10 days, as 24K gold is still up ₹315 per gram or 2.1% from August 6.

The market has become stuck between safe-haven buying and profit-taking, with recent foreign inflation numbers and US interest rate expectations making precious metals highly sensitive to every economic news update.

Despite the decline, investors should not confuse a one-day fall with a correction period. Long-term investors must look forward only for allocation and duration, while short-term traders should concentrate on MCX futures, dollars, and US interest rate expectations.
