Gold Price Jumps Fourth Consecutive Session in India Amid Silver Decline
The gold price rose to Rs 1,67,100 per 10 grams in India's national capital on Tuesday, marking its fourth consecutive session of gains. The increase is valued at Rs 2,700 from Monday's close of Rs 1,64,400 per 10 grams for the yellow metal of 99.9 percent purity.
Meanwhile, silver took a breather after its three-session rally and declined by Rs 3,500 to Rs 2,50,000 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes) from Monday's previous close of Rs 2,53,500 per kg.
In international markets, bullion prices gave up some of their recent gains. Spot gold fell USD 11.87, or 0.26 percent, to USD 4,639.51 per ounce after rising for two sessions. Silver also remained under pressure, falling 1.04 percent to USD 67.88 per ounce for its second consecutive session of losses.
