Gold Price Plunges in Pakistan and Global Markets

The gold price in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on September 5, 2026. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs3,600, bringing the new rate to Rs465,536.

This decline was accompanied by a similar decrease in other types of gold. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,086, settling at Rs399,122, while the price of 10 grammes of 22-karat gold saw a drop of Rs2,829 to be sold for Rs365,875.

Notably, this downward trend was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $36, reaching $4,430 per ounce.
