Gold Price Sees Mildly Bullish Recovery Amid Larger Bearish Structure
The gold futures market showed signs of improvement on August 31 as it regained control and returned to its high-volume area around $4,490. This recovery suggests that new buyers are entering the market.
According to the short-term prediction score, which is now +2 / +10 with medium confidence, gold needs to clear several resistance levels before the larger bearish structure can be considered reversed. The first major resistance level is around $4,500, followed by $4,513 and eventually $4,530-4,540.
Despite the mildly bullish intraday view, gold remains inside a damaged larger structure following its sharp decline from above $4,700. This means that while the market can recover above its intraday average price, it still needs to overcome significant resistance before the broader trend can turn positive.
