Gold Price Slashed by Tk 4474 in Bangladesh Markets
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the local market by Tk 4,474 per bhori. This adjustment was made due to a decline in the price of locally sourced Tejabi gold.
A bhori of 22-carat gold weighs 11.664 grams and will now cost Tk 236,254 including VAT, according to the revised pricing announced by BAJUS. The new rate came into effect at 10am today.
The decision was taken at a meeting of BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring on Monday (August 31). The committee is chaired by Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen, who signed the notice announcing the revised rate.
