The gold price remains stuck in a tight range around $4,050 during the European trading session on Tuesday.

Investors are waiting for the US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) data to be released later this week, which will provide insight into the labor market and influence expectations of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy outlook.

Economists at Deutsche Bank forecast a modest gain in hiring, with employment growth expected to increase by +65k, slightly above June's +57k reading. The unemployment rate is predicted to remain at 4.2%, with a slight risk of rising to 4.3% if labor force participation rebounds.

The release of the US JOLTS Job Openings data for June will also be closely watched on Tuesday, which could impact market expectations and influence gold prices.
