Gold Price Surge Widens Didipio Margin Above $3,460 an Ounce

The spot gold price reached a near three-month high of $4,562.86 an ounce on August 21, 2026, widening the margin above OceanaGold Philippines' Didipio mine's all-in sustaining costs (AISC) to above $3,460 an ounce.

This marks a significant increase from the previous day's price of $4,516.19 and represents a 4.2% jump in the spot gold price for the week.

The Philippine peso value of the spot gold price is approximately ₱281,643 per ounce, based on the latest dated USD/PHP reference rate.

OceanaGold's Didipio mine has an illustrative spread above $3,463 to $3,588 per ounce, considering its 2026 cost guidance of $975 to $1,100 per ounce AISC.
