Gold Price Surges by Tk4,374 per Bhori in Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of gold by Tk4,374 per bhori. This new rate will take effect from 10am on August 8th and applies to all jewellery outlets across the country.
According to BAJUS, the price adjustment was made due to the rising price of pure gold in the local market. The association announced that 21-carat gold will now cost Tk223,541 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will be priced at Tk191,931 per bhori.
The prices for traditional and silver gold remain unchanged with the new rate. It's worth noting that VAT is already included in the selling price of these ornaments, so it cannot be charged separately to customers.
