Gold Price Surges Rs3,000 in Pakistan Amid Global Market Gains
Gold prices rose to a new high in Pakistan on Friday, reaching Rs430,436 per tola as global bullion market gains pushed the local price back above Rs430,000.
The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported that the price of gold increased by Rs3,000 during the day, up from the previous day's closing rate of Rs427,436 per tola.
Meanwhile, in the international market, gold prices edged lower on Friday after some investors booked profits following recent gains. Spot gold slipped 0.7 percent to $4,075.35 per ounce, while US gold futures for August delivery eased 0.6 percent to $4,074.
