Gold Prices Climb on Strong Demand and Speculative Trading
Gold prices rose by Rs 654 to Rs 1.49 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to a firm spot demand and fresh positions created by speculators.
The yellow metal contracts for October delivery traded higher by 0.44 per cent at Rs 1,49,147 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 1,953 lots.
Analysts said that the rise in precious metal prices was due to fresh positions built up by participants.
