Gold Prices Decline Across Indian Jewellery Brands Amid Rangebound Market
Gold prices declined across various jewellery brands in India on September 9, 2026. According to the Indian Bullion & Jewellers Association (IBJA), gold and silver prices rose today.
The gold price can differ between jewellery brands and locations due to GST, making charges, and other applicable costs. It's essential to compare gold rates, purity, and additional charges before making a purchase.
Ashish Rajodiya, head of commodity at PL Capital Group, stated, “Gold and silver were largely rangebound on Wednesday, with MCX gold holding around Rs 1,52,500 per 10 grams and MCX silver flat near Rs 2,39,500 per kg, as the market stayed on the sidelines ahead of this week's US inflation prints.”
The IBJA reported indicative retail selling rates for gold and silver jewellery. Fine Gold (999) was priced at Rs 15,343 per gram, 22 KT Gold at Rs 14,975 per gram, 20 KT Gold at Rs 13,655 per gram, 18 KT Gold at Rs 12,428 per gram, 14 KT Gold at Rs 9,896 per gram, and Silver (999) at Rs 2,35,717 per kg.
