Gold Prices Decline Amid Market Fluctuations, Citi Sees Q4 Reopening of Strait of Hormuz
The price of Gold Futures (DEC6) has been experiencing fluctuations, currently sitting at $4,449.1 per ounce, a decline of 0.61% from its previous value.
Citi analysts predict that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen in Q4 2026, which could lead to lower oil prices and alleviate inflationary pressures, interest rate burdens, and debt stress.
This is expected to support gold prices, with Citi setting a target price of $4,800 per ounce for the next 0-3 months and projecting a price of $5,000 over the 6-12 month horizon.
